The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has cleared Eldoret North Mp William Ruto and Energy Minister Kiraitu Murungi of hate speech allegations made by the Law Society of Kenya. Commission chair Dr. Mzalendo Kibunjia says the material received from the LSK was analyzed and did not constitute hate speech. LSK Chairman Eric Mutua has however criticized the commission for what he termed as shoddy investigations and threatens to institute fresh hate speech charges against Ruto and Murungi.

NCIC probes Uhuru, Ruto hate speech allegations
www.ntv.co.ke Two leading members of the G7 group, Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto are now being investigated by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission for alleged hate speech. The Commission says it has gathered what it believes is sufficient evidence to sustain legal action. The Commission also says its investigators have been attending the much publicized prayer rallies, hosted by the two ICC suspects to look out for hate speech. Ntv's James Smart has more.
